On Saturday, however, the Mustangs were able to put that bad luck behind them. Pillow used a strong second half performance to propel them to a victory over Jackson Prep to claim the title. Just have to give God all the glory because he has really blessed this group of young ladies. Early on, it looked to be setting up for another game to come down to the wire. Pillow led at the half, but the second half was all Mustangs as they took control and never looked back. With their raucous fan base cheering them on, Pillow came out in the third quarter and lit up the scoreboard, going on an run in the final six minutes of the quarter and carrying a advantage into the fourth. The last eight minutes of the game were more of the same as the Mustangs eventually won by the final point margin. Today, we had a two-point lead, but the girls were able to come out in the third quarter, really stepped it up, and did an outstanding job.
